Why ?
The above mentioned organizations are reaching out to the student community for last 9 years. The growing need for services on various fronts like financial assistance, book and training, could not be fully met due to lack of resources – funds, infrastructure, man power (mentors, volunteers, trainers etc.) and technology. Although some limited man power is available, it is not sufficient compared to the need. These organisations also believe that in order to give effective and quality services, the mission should be shared and owned by the large number of like minded people. ‘VidyaPoshak- Prerana Community’ is formed to address the above.
Who can Join?
- Ex-student volunteer
- Who were earlier in VidyaPoshak or Prerana through one or the other programs and now settled (employed/self employed).
- Ex students of Partner organizations (like FOC Pune, Pratham Mysore, Dhruti Foundation, Mangalore, Yakshagana kalaranga, Udupi, and Dari, Bidar, etc.,) Also Ex-students of FFE who were also assisted or/and guided by VidyaPoshak.
Note: In due course, we may open it for any other like minded and interested people. Also current members may subsequently refer others.
Role of Nurture Merit Community.
1. Fund Raising :
- Organizing events (in companies and institutions).
- Referring people.
- Propagating and establishing contacts.
- Internal circulation within your organization.
- Connecting to CSR groups.
- Sponsoring students for education.
2 Participation in training program:
- Teach at Study centers located at Bangalore.
- Share your expertise through Training programs,/Residential Bridge camps/Graduate Finishing School
- Workshops for students for placements.
3. Mentoring :
Mentoring a student on VPPC members expertise. That can be done over phone/Skype/physically.
4. Technology :
- Joining hands for technological innovations for speedy services to students.
- Social networking with different communities.
5. Organize : Meetings of VPPC in Bangalore (Twice a year)
